SoyCrete Concrete Stain & Sealer is an advanced water-based polyurethane decorative color sealer made with bio-based ingredients that replaces hazardous petrochemicals. This color sealer is intended to add color effects over existing concrete stains or when proper surface grinding or etching cannot be performed to increase optimum porosity. When possible, always apply the stain and sealer separately for best results. When not possible, our polyurethane stain and sealer is best available alternative.
For optimum color and sealing results, apply either two coats of the Stain & Sealer, or one coat of the Stain & Sealer and then topcoat with either EcoPoly Sealer & Finish or EcoTuff Clearcoat to achieve a uniform sheen and surface barrier level. A natural mottling or stone-like effect is produced by the bio-based semi-transparent concrete stain which allows some of the substrate character and colors to show through. This accentuates the natural characteristics of the concrete or masonry surface. A double load of pigment or the use of our standard semi-solid will give more of a uniform appearance to hide more of the substrate. You can use faux painting techniques or apply random highlights to create design variations if desired. Save time, materials, and costs without jeopardizing your health or environmental welfare.
Choose from our standard concrete stain colors or our optional anti-fade infrared reflective (IR) colors for a semi-transparent to semi-solid finish. Note: Apply in very thin coats and allow each coat to thoroughly dry tack free before subsequent coats or sealer application.
